The Art of Waiting...

Alright! The anticipation is killing me! Book is done, revision is done and I sent the final manuscript off to the publisher a few weeks ago, and now...it's the waiting game.

Granted, I remember about 20 years ago (not to age myself) that you had to mail in a manuscript and waiting 6 to 8 weeks for a response. Then, when you did, it was another 6 months! I will be patient...I will wait...

I'm so excited! I have told nearly everyone that I have revamped book one, made necessary changes and trimmed the fat. Plus I wrote this in my early twenties and let's be honest...writing and growth changes with knowledge and time. I feel I have become a better writer but allowing myself to take the necessary time to do so.

So, I asked my editor...what do I need more of? What is the book missing? She was kind enough to give me very helpful tips and tricks, but I want her honest opinion...I will be patient...I will wait...

A writer's work is never done. We feel there are a dozen ways to make changes as time changes. I'm on the very bottom of the story arc on where I need Summersville to go and I can't wait to start writing their journey I originally wrote for ABC when it was a screenplay...I will be patient...I will wait...
